SUSTECH consortia have increasingly focused on larger collaborative projects that show potential for developing the 'breakthrough' technologies that are required to step up to the sustainable development challenge.
Further expansion of the SUSTECH network of research consortia will not be proactively sought, however support to current active consortia will be maintained and SUSTECH will encourage and assist the environment for collaborative research both within the industry and between industry and academic institutions.
The following consortia are currently fully established. More information on the individual programmes and links to their own websites can be found by clicking on the links below:
CAPE ALLIANCE – Competitive Advantage through Process IT/Computer Aided Process Engineering.

NICE – Network for Industrial Catalysis in Europe.
NICOLE – Network for Industrially Contaminated Land in Europe.
PRISM – The Human Factors Network for the Process Industries.
SPIN – Solids Processing Industrial Network.
SEPTECH - Separation Technology Network.
Impulse – Integrated Multi-scale Process Units with Locally Structured Elements.
In addition a number of consortia have completed their work and reported their findings. Information on these groups can be found here.
